Vacation Bible School @ 1st UMC of Michigan City

Where? First United Methodist Church 121 E. 7th St @ the corner of 7th and Pine St.

When? Monday, June 26 through Thursday, June 29 from 5:30-7:30 pm


VBS is open to all ages this year! Here's how it works:


  • All ages are invited to join us! Even grown-ups can join in the fun!
  • Grown-ups are required to stay with any children younger than 4 years of age.
  • Nursery care is available -only for children with parents participating or helping and present in the building.
  • Junior and senior high aged students can participate in their own small group time.
  • The whole family is welcome to join us for the meal each evening.

Pick up extra copies for friends and neighbors. You may also email Trish Johnsen at trish.johnsen@inumc.org to fill out information or have it sent to you. Drop off your filled out forms at the church or email them. Thank you!

If you are an adult who would like to volunteer or stay in the building with your child(ren) please fill out the adult volunteer form. You may be contacted later for more information.

This VBS invites kids to be menders in God’s world. As they make connections between Bible stories and mending actions, they’ll discover simple ways to live out faith in daily life. Everyone at Operation Restoration explores language and practices to mend God’s world.

What questions can we answer for you?


  • A simple meal is served each evening, please let us know of any allergies or restrictions.
  • We take your family's safety seriously in every way. 1st UMC follows updated child safety practices known as "Safe Sanctuary" and we also maintain a safe and secure building at all times.
  • Do you have questions about the United Methodist Church or any of our ministries? Talk to pastors Nancy Nichols or Trish Johnsen any time.
  • All are welcome means all are welcome, loved, and valued without exception- always.
  • Pre-registration is not required, walk in any time all week and join us!
